Once you have everything installed, simply open the Veeam PowerShell Extensions shortcut and connect to the Veeam DB using the _Connect-VIServer command:

 

PS C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop> _Connect-VIServer

cmdlet _Connect-VIServer at command pipeline position 1

Supply values for the following parameters:

SQLInstance: localhost\veeam

SQLDatabase: VeeamReporter

 

Now that you are connected, you can do some basic commands like _Get-VM

クライム・パートナーの5nine Software社が「Migrator for Hyper-V」を発表

同社の最初のソリューション、「P2V Hyper-V Planner」はP2V移行エンジンで、VMware社やMicrosoft社のハイパーバイザーを利用する場合、集約プラントを比較することでキャパシティプラニングも行える。

Migratorは、キャパシティプラニング、P2V移行、そして実行中の配置最適化を1つのソフトウェアにまとめるP2V Hyper-V Plannerのスーパーセットとなっている。これは非常に理にかなっている。

Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager（SCVMM）2008 R2と統合されて以下の作業を実行する。

■仮想マシンの自動プロビジョニング

移行に使う仮想マシンのプロビジョニングを行う。移行プランの一環として当該仮想マシンのすべてのパラメータが計算される。

■ハードウェアのプリプロセス

物理マシンを分析し、移行の成功を妨げる要因を特定して、内蔵の総合Knowledge Baseを使って是正処置を提案する。P2V変換の成功率向上に役立つ。

■P2V移行ジョブと移行ヘルパの自動化

物理マシンを実際に移行する際、物理マシンが自動的に移行されなかった（例：オンラインではなくオフライン移行を行う、インストールでService Packsが必要になった、インストールされているソフトウェア／ドライバの修正が必要になったなど）場合に移行完了を成功させるのに必要な処理をシステム管理者に通知する。
