Ritmo/i5 v4 integrates fully with the Visual Studio 2005 Designer tools and Server Explorer, enabling developers to quickly and easily develop forms or generate reports that include System i DB2 data. In addition, developers can use SQL Server 2005 together with Visual Studio SSIS Import and Export wizard to import DB2 data into SQL Server. Support for SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services is also included.

With Ritmo/i5’s full support for ADO.NET 2.0’s base classes and factories, developers can write provider-independent code to access System i DB2. Ritmo/i5 works well in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments, and it offers an efficient pooling mechanism that improves performance. Ritmo/i5 fully supports the new System i Express systems. It also works with earlier iSeries and AS/400 systems.
